Metro Cash & Carry opens second center in Hyderabad

      Metro Cash & Carry, the wholesaler which which started operations in India in 2003 with two wholesale distribution centres in Bangalore, has opened another centre in Uppal, Hyderabad, the second in that city.

      The new outlet is spread over an area of approximately 5,000 sq.m with approximately 3,800 sq.m of selling space. The center has also a 400 sq.m integrated ‘mandi’ offering fresh vegetables and fruits.

      Rajeev Bakshi, managing director, Metro Cash & Carry India, said, “Our wholesale centre in Uppal reflects our understanding of and commitment to our customers. The integrated ‘mandi’ increases the comfort factor of our customers by providing them the best of traditional and modern practices”. For Bakshi, the opening of a second outlet in Hyderabad means to continue the partnership with more local producers and professional business customers in the state.

      Metro Cash & Carry India currently operates six wholesale distribution centers. Besides the two each in Bangalore and Hyderabad, there is one each in Mumbai and Kolkata..
