Valle De Vin and Grover Vineyards: Merger

      Nashik-based Zampa wine maker Valle De Vin Private Limited has announced to merge with Grover Vineyards Limited within a month. The new entity would be called Grover Zampa Private Limited.

      The companies have roped in a PE player to buyout 21% stake in Grover Vineyards being held by French luxury goods maker LVMH (Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton, 4%) and the wine distributor Brindco (17%).

      The merged entity will have vineries in the country's Bangalore and Nashik, and have easy access to the Mumbai and Bangalore markets. After the merger, Grover and Zampa brands can be produced both in Maharashtra and Karnataka.

      Founded in 1988 by Kanwar Grover, Bangalore based Grover Vineyards engages in the production of wine in India. The company offers wine export services to the UK and USA.

      Valle De Vin was founded by Ravi Jain, Deepak Roy and Neeraj Deorah in 2006. The company sells its products under the 'Zampa' brand name in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Goa, India.
